Manchester United remain in the hunt for Napoli fullback Faouzi Ghoulam.
Ghoulam has been tracked by United for over a year, with this season being interrupted by injury problems.
However, Foot Mercato says United are being urged to meet the left-back’s €55 million buyout clause. Smoothing negotiations is the involvement of super agent Jorge Mendes, who also represents United manager Jose Mourinho.
Mendes has offered Ghoulam to United and is urging them to close a deal as soon as they can with European rivals due to be contacted.
Ghoulam is also a favourite of Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane.
