Manchester United are reportedly still in the hunt for Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann despite sealing the transfer of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal this January.
Reports from the Sun earlier in the season linked Jose Mourinho with an interest in both Griezmann and Gareth Bale, but it looked as though United may have solved their attacking issues by completing the surprise signing of Sanchez this winter.
However, it may be that Mourinho remains keen to keep on strengthening up front as Diario Gol still list the Red Devils as suitors for Atletico front-man Griezmann, who has a release clause of £87million.
In theory, United could make a side with both Sanchez and Griezmann up front work pretty well, with both players among the most talented and versatile forwards in the game right now.
Both can fill in as a centre-forward, false 9, out wide or behind the main front-man, so could swap positions during games to good effect or simply work together in more clearly defined roles.
With Romelu Lukaku struggling at Old Trafford this season since joining from Everton in the summer, it perhaps isn’t surprising to see United continuing to look at Griezmann.
The France international has shone in La Liga, but Diario Gol claim he could stay there as Real Madrid and Barcelona are also both in for him.
