Manchester United have received a boost in their pursuit of Lazio attacking-midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, after CalcioMercato reported that Italian giants AC Milan are no longer in the running for the Serbian’s signature.
Spanish outlet Don Balon have reported that Lazio have set a price of €110M for the 23-year-old, a great price for a player of his quality and potential.
Milinkovic-Savic has been subjected to interest throughout the summer from a host of Europe’s leading teams, with one of these being Jose Mourinho’s Man United, according to the report from Calcio Mercato.

Milinkovic-Savic was pivotal for Lazio last season as they finished 5th in Serie A.
The attacking-midfielder, who stands at a massive 6 feet 3 inches tall, scored 12 times in 35 appearances for Lazio during the campaign.
These impressive performances won the Lazio man a spot on the plane to the World Cup in Russia with the Serbian national team, although Milinkovic-Savic couldn’t help stop the ‘White Eagles’ from exiting in the group stage of the tournament.
The same report from CalcioMercato notes that ‘general manager’ of AC Milan, Leonardo, has noted that it’d be “difficult” for the club to sign him, and that currently, his signing “is not a feasible thing”, news that’ll be music to United’s ears.
Following this news, it seems like United have one less team to beat in the race to sign Milinkovic0-Savic, however they will have to wait until January following the closer of the English transfer window this week.
