Arsenal ace could spark transfer spree, Mourinho boost but Tottenham would suffer

It promises to be an intriguing summer transfer window next year, with Arsenal, Real Madrid, Man Utd and Tottenham tipped to be involved in a merry-go-round.

It all starts with Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez, who faces an uncertain future at the Emirates given that his current contract expires at the end of the season.

Given the Chilean international bagged 30 goals and 19 assists in 51 appearances last season, and is steadily finding his feet this year, it will be no surprise if he’s a man in demand next year, provided he doesn’t opt to pen an Arsenal renewal.

According to Don Balon, as re-reported by The Express, he could be the focal point of a real transfer frenzy, as he’s being linked with a move to Real Madrid. That in turn could see the Spanish giants sell Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale to Arsenal and Man Utd respectively, as while Don Balon link Benzema to north London, The Daily Mail pair Mourinho with a potential move for Bale.

In the last piece of the transfer jigsaw, Tottenham striker Harry Kane is tipped to fill the void left by that duo, and so from a Madrid perspective, swapping Benzema and Bale for Sanchez and Kane would be an absolute dream and some very sensible transfer business if they could pull it off as they’d be getting younger players in and more reliable and effective options based on recent form.

Zinedine Zidane’s side have encountered some real problems so far this season, as they’re 10 points adrift of Barcelona in the La Liga title race after just 12 games, while they will finish second in their Champions League group behind Tottenham.

In turn, while that shouldn’t necessarily spark a major panic and rebuild, it does raise question marks as to the strength and longevity of their current squad, especially after opting to sell Alvaro Morata and loan out James Rodriguez this past summer.

It’s a very ambitious transfer plot, but it remains to be seen how much comes to fruition next summer.
